Easter Morning

Taking a quick break to shoot some hoops, instead of looking for eggs. There were some 120 eggs in that yard, and Jaxon and Ambree were done after about 15 each! They had to send out the twenty year olds to find the melting choclate filled ones.Today (April 30th), the kids and I were at Aunt Linda's house with Jaxon and Lindsey. While taking a potty break, Ambree looked up at me and said, "It's nice to have a big brother, huh, Mommy?" I said, "Who's your big brother?" A, "Jaxon!" So sweet.

And we finished off the day celebrating Anna's and Sean's birthdays at the Reilly's.

And yes, we do still have another child. We will have to do better at the next holiday/event to capture some Jack moments! Sorry, Buddy!

Cutest Baby Boy

April 21, 2011. Cutest little boy ever!

Jack is not interested in walking much. He pulls away when we try to hold his hands to walk, because he is so efficient in crawling and always has somewhere to go- usually to Mommy. He is getting his curls, and already slimming out a little, despite the amount that he eats and nurses. He is super advanced in tantrum-throwing, too! He will throw himself on the ground when upset. I walk away from fits at this age, but he is persistent; he just crawls closer to me, and throws himself back down just in case I missed it the first time.

Maybe my favorite thing about Jack is how he sticks up for himself. When Ambree doesn't want him to ruin her set up toys, she first yells 'No, Jack", then calls for me, and then roars like a dinosaur or lion to try to scare him away. When Jack feels like he is being treated unjustly, he yells back, even louder. It's strangely music to my ears to hear siblings interacting and working it out in their own little way. Of course I step in when needed, which is 90% of the time.

Dinner Time

April 20, 2011. Ambree loves to help in the kitchen. Today she was helping me make Jack some baby food.Jack was very appreciative.

Ambree's third birthay party was at Champion Park, and ALL dinosaurs! It was a lot of planning, but even more hand touches, thanks to Sean!

Waco Zoo

April 9, 2011. Trying to beat the heat, we made it out to the Waco Zoo. It was so nice. Because there was so much shade, it was cooler and the animals moved around a lot more. The giraffes walked around as though to show off for their welcomed guests.

Ambree's funny quote of the day, eating a corn dog during lunch break, "Mommy, this is the best food ever!"

Ambree was busy baking with MiMi on my birthday... it was delicious! She was so proud to present me with her hard work.Clean Up!It's finished!Meanwhile, Jack was hard at work, too.
