Easter 2010

This was a great Easter. I was blessed because a close friend switched nursery duty with me, so that I could sit with our family that was visiting High Pointe, and because all of our family (except Kelly and Kevin and Randy) was together to celebrate the Resurrection.

After service, everyone came over for lunch, a recipe I'd never made before (there's a reason people warn you against doing such). Much to our surprise, the oven turned on as set, and the meat was finishing up when we got home. The meal came together well, but the meat had so much pepper on it (over 1/2 a cup for 4lbs) that I think only Sid (who is Cajun) enjoyed it. But it was good conversation and company.

Then Anna taught Ambree how to close her eyes, count to 10 and then go looking for eggs. They both had a good time.

After naps, we headed over to Grandma's house for more egg hunting (over 120 eggs were hidden for 5 kids!!), and dinner.
Playing at Grandma's more than ever involves playing with Jaxon, Ambree's cousin, who is about 3 1/2 months younger than her. Today that meant playing in the mud and rubbing it all over each other's faces.
