Because Jack spent the first three months in his carseat (thanks to some reflux), I figured he would be slow in rolling, sitting, crawling, etc. Plus, he has a big sister who can bring him anything he wants. Ambree brings him things, but he is super-motivated to get to the stuff she doesn't bring to him, mostly dinosaurs!
Well, Jack has proved just the opposite. I've never seen a baby love tummy time so much, or roll all over a room so quickly. There are pillows lining all furniture in our living room and he still finds things to roll into. He has started rotating himself while on his tummy to reach for toys, and he lays on his side purposefully balancing to avoid falling backward or forward so that he can maintain eye-contact with Mommy or Daddy. His newest talent is rocking on his knees and hands. This takes practice, and I've found him with sleepy tears in his crib, fighting a nap so that he can get in a few more reps. He even practices while he's nursing or being held upright. Ambree, watch out! Those dinosaurs are about to be invaded!

Jack 21-23 weeks old
Jack has been the easiest baby I could imagine. He is calm and content most of the time, sleeps through the night 8- 7:30 with one dream feed at 11:30 before I go to bed, and smiles and coos nearly on command. For those of you with a fussy little one, hating me right now, I take all of the disdain in stride. I paid my dues with my first angel :) He is learning to sit by himself, though right now still requires the support of his arms before tumbling over, and he is all over the place rolling from one side of the room to the other. He loves holding toys and, of course, chewing on them. Here are some pics of our big guy!
